Legal Notice and Licence Agreement
Responsibility
It is the sole responsibility of you, as the user of this site, to
examine carefully the copyright, database right and licensing
restriction and secure the necessary permissions to use this
material.
General
-
The PGR Forum CWRIS comprises a searchable
database of crop wild relative (CWR) taxa with distribution records
for Europe and the Mediterranean region (the PGR Forum CWR Catalogue
for Europe and the Mediterranean (the Catalogue)) and detailed CWR
case studies that illustrate the scope and functionality of the PGR
Forum CWR data standards for management of CWR conservation
information.
-
The PGR Forum CWR Catalogue for Europe and the
Mediterranean was created through a process of data mining and analysis using a
range of data sources, resulting in the selection of CWR taxa and
their associated distribution records from Euro+Med PlantBase. See
www.pgrforum.org/cwris.htm for details about the creation
of the Catalogue. The taxon and distribution data contained in the
Catalogue is therefore not the work of PGR Forum or the University
of Birmingham, but of the partners and collaborators in the EU-funded
project, Euro+Med PlantBase (http://www.emplantbase.org/home.html).
-
The taxon and distribution data contained in the
PGR Forum CWR Catalogue for Europe and the Mediterranean was
provided in August 2005 by the Euro+Med PlantBase Secretariat, based
at
the Botanic
Garden and Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem (BGBM) (previously
based at the University of Reading, UK).
-
CWRIS has been established within the European
Community (EC) Framework 5 funded project, European Crop Wild Relative Diversity
Assessment and Conservation Forum (PGR Forum) (www.pgrforum.org/introduction.htm)
-
CWRIS is hosted and maintained by the University
of Birmingham (http://www.about.bham.ac.uk),
which is the coordinating institute of the PGR Forum project.
-
CWRIS would not be possible without the financial
contributions of the EU and the University of Birmingham, and the
significant effort and valuable contributions of the PGR Forum
participating institutes and individuals (see
www.pgrforum.org/participants.htm).
