As part of the EC-funded project “European Crop Wild Relative Diversity Assessment and Conservation Forum (PGR Forum), there will be a workshop on “Population Management Methodologies”.  This workshop will be held in Mahón, Menorca, from 21-24 April 2004 as one of five workshops within the PGR Forum project. The global aim of these five workshops is to develop methodologies for Crop Wild Relative (CWR) diversity assessment and conservation.

 Workshop 4 will deal with population management and monitoring methodologies for the in situ genetic conservation of crop wild relatives. There will be presentations and discussions on population management, demographic and genetic monitoring, and the different aspects involved in developing appropriate methodologies for in situ conservation.
